Anthony Lo Surdo SC Appointed to Court of Arbitration for Sport ad hoc Panel for the Asian Games, 2018

Anthony Lo Surdo SC was appointed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport as one of the arbitrators to determine disputes arising in connection with the Asian Games, 2018 which were held in Jakarta/Palembang, Indonesia from 18 August 2018 to 2 September 2018. He was the only Australian arbitrator appointed to that panel and the only arbitrator from a non-competing country. Anthony was appointed as President of an Appeal Panel which included arbitrators from Iran and The Philippines. The panel determined a dispute raised by the golf associations of 6 participating nations against a decision by the Olympic Council of Asia to permit both professional and non-professional golfers to compete in the games.
